MINI MEATBALLS AND NOODLES
You will never again buy the canned variant in the supermarket! Please
mum, please may we have some more? Serves 3 4
Ingredients:
500 g minced beef
2 tablespoons (30 ml) MINCE SPICE EXOTICA
1 egg
2 tablespoons (30 ml) cake flour
1 teaspoon (5 ml) PARSLEY RUBBED
a little vegetable oil
Sauce:
1/3 cup (80 ml) tomato sauce
dash Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon (5 ml) MINCE SPICE EXOTICA
½ cup (125 ml) water
3 4 packets 2-minute noodles (beef flavour)
Method:
- Combine mince, spice, egg, flour and parsley and mix well.
- Rinse hands with very cold water and form small meatballs using about 1/8 cup (30 ml)
meat per meatball. Rinse hands regularly to prevent meat from sticking.
- Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan, then turn heat down. Carefully arrange meatballs
in pan.
- Combine sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs in pan. Cover and simmer for 25
30 minutes on very low heat, adding water if necessary to prevent meat cooking dry and
turning meatballs regularly.
- Prepare noodles as per instructions. Drain and serve with hot meatballs.
Tips:
- For saucier meatballs, double the volumes of the sauce ingredients.
- Add a tomato flavour to meatballs by adding 2 tablespoons (30 ml) tomato paste to mince.
