BAKED APPLES

     

A deliciously different dessert! Treat the kids to a "healthier" sweet after dinner. Serves 6.

Ingredients:

6 medium apples (‘Golden delicious’ or ‘Granny Smith’)

1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar

1 teaspoon (5 ml) CINNAMON (GROUND)

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) CLOVES (GROUND)

1 ml salt

2 tablespoons (30 ml) butter/margarine

1 cup (250 ml) Rooibos Tea

Method:

Tips:

  1. Be sure to serve each guest a generous spoonful of basting with the apple.
  2. Substitute apples with several small/baby apples – ideal for buffets.
