SPICY LAMB MASALA

     

This Indian dish is bursting with flavour, yet mild enough so the whole family will enjoy it! 3 - 4 servings

Ingredients:

1 ½ tablespoon (22.5 ml) MEAT MASALA

1 tablespoon (15 ml) water

450 – 500g Lamb Cubes (stew lamb)

1 cup (250 ml) water

1 cup (250 ml) chopped onion

½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt

1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil

½ tablespoon (7.5 ml) fresh ginger or GINGER (ground)

½ tablespoon (7.5 ml) GARLIC CRUMBLE

1/8 cup (30 ml) dried coconut

Method:

Tips:

  1. Garnish dish with fresh coriander leaves – if available.
  2. For a more authentic dish: substitute dried coconut with ¼ cup (60 ml) FRESH coconut slices, and use FRESH ginger as well.
